sms problem
 

ok i just did a hard reset recently and installed all my programs i had on my treo 700wx.....i added the palm threading app and it was working......i noticed i been having problems with verizon carriers with send an recieve. the ones i send are delayed and sometimes i never recieved ones sent to me.....so it dawned on me i might have fprgot to add the sms patch and i did patch but still same problem....

does this patch have to be doone prior to installing palm messaging app and mms hack?

please get back to me i going out of my mind here!!!!

This has been discussed on this forum and over at TC. The program has had downsides with delayed sent and received SMS messages. No fix since there is no more development. Either live with it, or drop it.

Uninstall both and try re-installing them. I don't think it matters which is installed first.

In my case, Sprint Treo 700wx with Threaded SMS installed. I do not need the SMS Update (since my ROM is later version).

If I send a reply within the threaded SMS, then the message is not being sent. But if I create a new SMS, then it sends both (from threaded SMS and new SMS)

If I a not clear, let me explain.

1) I get a SMS say "Hi"
2) I open the SMS and hit reply.
3) This open the threaded SMS screen with a small window at the bottom of the screen where I type my reply say "Test 1" and hit SEND
4) The receiver never get the reply (several hours)
5) I go to Today, left soft button and select SMS.
6) It defaults to 'Inbox' folder and shows the SMS inbox.
7) I press NEW and send SMS say "Test 2" to the same person I got the SMS from in step 1.
8a) The receiver gets 2 SMSs (Test 1 and Test 2) at nearly the same time.
8b) I see threaded SMS as
Hi
Test 1
Test 2.
