THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

PPCGEEKS FRIGGIN' ROCKS!!! Thanks you guys so much for this "patch". Amazing that I could spend over $400 for a device and not be able to send a simple picture mail! I'm donating $10, and that's probably low.

For everyone who reads this message and use(s/d) this patch, DONATE!!! We need to encourage people to continue developing USEFUL solutions for this device, which, despite its limitations, is one of the best on the market.

Now, who wants to develop a solution to return the oft overlooked one touch side button voice recording in Notes functionality?! I've got money! :P

First I just want to express a huge THANK YOU to all the techies on here for your contributions. Now, just a couple issues I have noticed since installing this hack:

1) My MMS sent timestamp is reading -6 hr difference also.

2) I have experienced the "tmail.exe" error since installing this hack.

3) When I send a MMS to myself and it's rec'd in my SMS folder, I get a voicemail notification. Anyone else experience this?

4) When I'm looking for pics to send from the MMS New Pix Message screen, it doesn't list my SD card. The ONLY option I have is "My Device" and it's subfolders. It doesn't show "Storage Card". Anyone else experience this? If so, can it be resolved?

5) Is there a way to stop the "Sending Media Message" notification?

6) Is there a way to stop the "Media Message Sent" notification?

** 4 & 5 are terribly annoying. I looked thru the registry looking for anything that resembled the "Disable Message Sent Notification for SMS", but didn't see anything discernable.

Also, on page 11 of this thread, mikewest wrote, "I noticed with the "one install" , if I click and hold on a picture in the picture viewer thumbail, and "Send" it would say "can not send flix mail"... This can be fixed by going into resigstry and changing the default to something.pix instead of something.flix...". Can anyone elaborate on this? I'd like to be able to Send directly from my picture viewer.

I just read thru 17 pages about this hack and am surprised no one has mentioned items 3, 4, 5 or 6. Did I just open a can of worms?

Thanks again for all your help.

"storage card" is a subfolder of My Device. BTW why do you need to send pictures back to yourself?

Because sometimes I get bored.

Actually, I thought if other people sent me MMS messages, this would always happen, but I now realize I cant receive MMS or picture text messages. I had friends from Cricket & Cingular both try and I get the text, but not the pic (unless they send it to my sprintpcs.com email). Oh well...

And thanks for the info on the storage card.

Yes there is if you go to edit, there is an option to insert slide which allows you to send more than one image within one message.

-----------

On another note can anyone tell me if there is a way to disable the 350k message limit. I'm trying to send an audio file that's 510k and it's not letting me.

Anyone have a registry hack for it?

I figured this one out. Here's the info if you're interested...

In your RegEditor, go to:
HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Inbox > SVC > MMS

Change the "DefMsgClass" from "IPM.FLIX" to "IPM.PIX"

Soft Reset & viola', now you can send MMS directly from your Picture Viewer.

Disclaimer: This may seem elementary to some of you (you guys amaze me with some of the stuff you do), but this was a big deal to me.

Thank your for the hack! I had no idea when i bought the 700wx that it didn't have Picture Mail.

I also encountered the tmail.exe error after installing this. It comes up every once in a while when I use regular txt messaging.

So when I click on a picture and choose send I get the following options:

Outlook E-mail

MMS
(User@User.com

New Pix Message (MMS)
(User@User.com

SMS (grayed out)

MMS

How do I remove all the entries I don't need and only show the ones I need (the Correct MMS and the Outlook E-Mail) and delete the others??
