Not receiving incoming calls
Just searched and found this thread:
http://www.ppcgeeks.com/not-recievin...0wx-t5266.html Didn't help much since I just found out that I do NOT receive ANY incoming calls since I had the phone in March. It is not a huge problem for me though since I have my work blackberry. So far I just use my personal phone for interviews. Now I can make outgoing calls no problem. Here's the kicker: when I make outgoing calls, then all my VMs and SMS texts come through. I once had ten voicemails racked up since I didn't make an outgoing call for close to a week. Anyone else have/had this problem. I didn't want to waste time going to the store if this is an easy fix. Thanks! Btw, everything else works great. |
Never heard of it, and it sounds serious... like a defective device.
Have you tried a hard reset? Always try a hard reset.

Web Access
How much are you connected to the web (IE:....PIE, Push Email, Exchange email, weather panel, you know that kind of stuff). Because if you're in a non-evdo area you will not receive incomming calls on your phone while connected to the web.

I was connected all the time; through AS exchange email.
Since then I've hard reset it and kept it at that. It no longer goes out to the web constatntly. I just came back from the Sprint store. They are telling me to now call 1-888-211-4727 to try and resolve it over the phone since they think the phone is fine but that there is a network issue. Will update as soon as I'm done. Thanks again for the input guys. |

Glad it's worked out, did they tell what was wrong? Just in case it happens to someone else at leats we'd have that knowledge...

She didn't say at all. I think the phone may have been incorrectly programmed from the start.
We did a program ##686 ? It seemed correct, then did another ## command; the reset after this took approx 5 mins. Then I had to enter in my phone number and something else (from the first step that seemed correct). After that it worked. |
