Live TV for VZW phones
Hey I'm sure most everyone knows now that verizon will be offering through vcast, 8 channels of live tv made specifically for mobile phones...does anyone know if we will be able to somehow direct our 700's there as well? Also the prices quoted seem reasonable its like 25$ for all the channels and unlimited 'air time'...I am not sure if this will be on non ppc phones though and i am also unsure if air time is considered data or not. But if anyone thinks they'll be able to get us the address and or an app to tap into this let us know cause this will be good stuff

sounds good
That sounds good, I bet really nice for the vzw customers who can't do it yet. I know there's ways around that on Sprint Phones, lol. Streaming TV or the way Wideawake and Pzztgotbags are doing it. That's a great way! The slingbox, go slingbox's. Well good luck w/ the new stations.

Yeah it should be nice, but instead of slingbox I was looking to tap directly into the feed that VZW offers instead of streaming from my house...But in any case maybe VZW will offer it for their ppc phones as well I guess we'll just have to wait and see...if anyone else knows anything about this or possibilites feel free

Usually those offers are subscriptions and you're probably paying for some channels you don't care to watch. If you have an internet connection and an a subscription to cable/satelite TV, slingbox is still the way to go.

Yeah i'd get slingbox...if i had indefinite inet connection from home, however im at the 'rents right now and my father has a 1 hr timeout switch on the inet so unless someone hits the button, i lose connection :-(
It's really a hassle but...or do i misunderstand slingbox? do you need it to be connected the whole time or what? TIA PH |
The slingbox needs to be connected to the internet only when you are watching it. If the internet connection gets dropped, then you get disconnected from the slingbox.
