FREE Universal IM Client?
I had Agile messenger installed, and it recently told me that I need to run an upgrade to continue using it.
It now tells me that I am using a trial version which will expire! :( Is there a FREE decent IM client that will let me access Y!, MSN and AIM? |
I don't think there's a free one. At least I haven't heard of one...

No, that's only AOL. I doubt you'll find a free multi-client messenger since it usually involves the use of servers that cost money. That's why most, if not all, at least that I know of, multi-client messengers have a subscription fee.

does anyone use IM+?
I had Webmessenger (which is a great IM client, fairly priced [one time price[) but for some reason, I cannot view text in the chat window. So rather than do a hard reset (I think it's the Threaded SMS that's doing it) I was looking at IM+. I tried the trial version and I am satisfied with it. I just want to know if it's always-on like AOL/AIM and will drain that battery if left running, or is it like Webmessenger / Agile that just updates itself every 30-45 seconds or so and keeps mainly an idle data connection. |
