right, but how do I change what the categories are. I know how to change for the individual contacts, but I want to rename the categories. Ie - "Seasonal" to misc. or "Business" to "Whatever" , etc, etc |

Thanks, but if you read my original post I said that I know how to add new ones, I want to know how to change the ones that palm gives you standard. I pose the question again, does anyone know a registry hack to change the names of the palm assigned categories? Thanks |

Palm did not create those, they are standard from Outlook and Pocket Outlook, so MS created them. I think there's no way to delete/edit them, at least I have not been able to found any.

I have MS Office XP with Outlook. I synced my contacts, including categories. You cannot change/rename a category, but you can delete and add another one. It's also allot easier to mass change contacts to a particular category. When completed, sync back up to your Treo.
