Call Log timer for 700WX? idea of how to do it..

I was doing some searching on the web and came across an article.

Apparently there is a 'call timer' function in the Treo 750v.. heres a screen shot:

well.. apparently i dont have enough posts to post the image.. nor the link.. so suffice to say,

go to www dot the-gadgeteer dot com /review/palm_treo_750v_smartphone

and scroll 2/3 of the way down to look at the screen shots..

would it be possible to extract that function and use it in the 700? (kind of how the threaded SMS was created).

Maybe this is just a complex solution to a simple problem.. ie: are there other existing software out there that can do this?
