Power on and off sound

Please, does anyone know how to eliminate the power on and off sound? It is so annoying, and I hate waking my wife up in the morning everytime I disconnect the power plug.

Just turn mute button on the top before you unplug it. It will just vibrate.

That I know... All I wanted to know if there's something internal to deactivate this annoying power off and on sound. I remember when I had the Palm 650, it had this feature where you can deactivate the power off on sound.

you asked a question and I am unsure as to what answer you are looking for because your question is very confusing.
Are you looking on how to stop the sound from happening when you TURN THE PHONE on?
Turn the DEVICE ON or the sound the device makes when you plug in the charger and unplug the charger? I have the answer for all three of the questions so here you go, I'd like to know which answer you were looking for though.

DISABLE SOUND (PHONE POWERING UP and SHUTTING DOWN)
Using a regedit tool, I use PHM Regedit look for the following entry
HKML\Software\Palm\Varnish\DialLookupPlugin\PhoneS tartus
open GoodbyeSound, delete the VALUE DATA, scroll down and press OK

DISABLE SOUND (PLUG/UNPLUG CHARGER)
Using a regedit tool
HKCU\ControlPanel\Volume\ChargerConnectSound
click on FILE and delete the VALUE DATA, scroll down and press OK

HKCU\ControlPanel\Volume\ChargerDisconnectSound
click on FILE and delete the VALUE DATA, scroll down and press OK

DISABLE SD INSERT/REMOVE
HKCU\ControlPanelVolume\SDInsertSound
repeat previous steps
HKCU\ControlPanelVolume\SDRemoveSound
repeat previous steps

Thank you so much! Everything worked out very well and I don't have to hear that annoying sound.

I just don't get how my question was confusing to you if you answered the question really well and precisely.

I have to admit that becoming a member to this forum has helped me understand my Treo 700wx more and more all the time.......

Charge it in a different room...or have your wife sleep in a different room. Problem solved!

Late,
Coz

I think it was meant to be a joke, no reason to get all worked up about it.
