The bit rate and res question can only be answered by you technically. 500 seems a little high to me, but it all depends on how much you want to fit on the card. High b r and res means bigger file size.
As far as where media files go on the card: make sure you are synced to your pc, and using file explorer in ActiveSync place them in My Windows Mobile Based Device/Storage Card. If you dump them on the card your Treo can find them. No special folder needed. The only part to make sure of is telling your Treo to use the storage device library instead of the internal one. Windows media player/ menu/ library/ storage card. Hope this helps. |

I would say go avi at 300 kbps. Do you have CorePlayer? What are you using to convert the vids? virtualdub? Personally, I use the matroska container which is far superior to avi or wmv. Inside I use xvid and mp3 audio. Must have coreplayer for this config tho. Or TCPMP which is free.
