What messes with the softkey labels?

Trying to figure out why my softkey labels are suddenly stuck as if a call is coming in. They always look like this now:

Answer Menu

Pressing Answer does nothing. Pressing Menu brings up "Ignore" and "Ignore with text message" as the options. Ignore does nothing. The other goes to a new/blank text message.

The items I have installed on my Today page are:

hidelogo
phoneAlarm
Web Search
TodayAgenda
Resco Today Plugin

Everything else is unchecked.

I also ran vjtoggletodayiialpha and spnt700wxSMSpatch.

I'm using the Black Curves skin.

I've tried turning the Today plugins on/off one at a time, but the softkey labels remain stuck.

Any idea what's doing that to me?
