How do I get java on my 700wx?

I've been looking everywhere for a JRE for the 700wx, but can't find the right one.. I need to be able to view java on the web, so I tried installing Opera mini, but its a .jad file and the treo can't open it.. so I'm assuming I need to actually install java first.

Can anyone point me to an installation file for the 700wx? Thanks.

how about opera mobile or netfront 3.3? they are both pretty good programs. i perfer opera mobile though, only because its faster than netfront.

Found the program you suggest on that site, but when I use it, it asks for a link to the .jad file.. so i found a link for opera mini jad file, and then it gives me some program error :/

theres gotta be an easier way to view java

if i remember correctly, you can open the .jad file with notepad. you should find a link inside of there.

Ummm...

I wrote a huge, detailed tutorial on how to get Java on WM5 and even provided the files here...

http://ppcgeeks.com/gmail-gmaps-java...-21-t1198.html

Just replace all mentions of Gmail/gmaps with Opera and you're all set.

thanks for the tutorial..

i couldnt get the emulator to see the Opera .jad file in the root directory for some reason (im positive it was root), so i just installed it over the internet and it worked fine.

but, when i loaded it for the first time, it asked me if it could use airtime to connect to http or something, and i quickly clicked next by accident, and it was set to "no"... so now it won't connect to the internet and i cant change that setting anywhere.

any ideas?
