anyone else have an issue when receiving sms from the web (like from sprint's texting website)? it never shows the callback number for me. just unknown.

I'm having issues with nothing showing in my inbox when I recieve a text and sent one with the threaded SMS. I didn't use resco though to transfer the files I just installed the cab. palm_messaging_preaku23_beta4_210

My left softkey says SMS now but I can still select messaging and when I go through messaging my normal non threaded work fine. I can also see in the sent folder of the threaded all my messages I sent though it.

Mind you I'm a total noob to my WX i've had it for 2 days now.

i can almost guarantee that if you follow the complete directions for installation, you shouldn't have a problem. not sure why you stopped after installing the cab. it's kind of like having a 3 step process, stopping after step 1 and wondering why things aren't working.

give it a shot and if you still have problems, people here will help.

As my post above says, read the readme file and follow it to the letter. No offense, but if the installation directions say you need to copy the files to the Windows directory, and you don't; and then the app doesn't work correctly, don't you think this is the reason of the app not working correctly?

The reason you need to copy and overwrite the files in the Windows directory is because this app needs some ROM files overwritten in order to work because it was not originally designed for the 700w/wx and was extracted from the 750.

BTW, remember to back up. The only way to uninstall this app is to restore a backup or hard reset.

ok well I'm an idiot, I didn't read the bottom of the readme, I assumed the cab installation was the same as some others and with that I could skip the copy of the hidden files. I got it working and so far so good.

Nobody is saying you are an idiot, just be sure to read all the directions carefully, specially with these apps that have been extracted from other phones.

If only 1 files does not copy and overwrite correctly the old one in the Windows directory, then the app will not work correctly.

I have a dilemma I recently tried to install palm messaging but I have ran into these errors on total commander and resco explorer.
