That message doesn't really care how MANY cards you have open, it only cares about how MUCH each card is doing.

If i have three intensive web pages open, i might get it on the 4th. But if i have a few simple reader pages, some email and messenger, and music playing, the Pre doesn't care.

If you get it after 7 cards, look at what you are loading. the specific apps or cards may just be a bit much for the Pre at the moment. Close the memory intensive ones and you will have more space and ability to work.

this is getting annoying. i used to get this once a week, but now it feels like once a day...blah!

So it seems that others are unhappy with the "Too many Cards" issue and have started looking into a fix.
