Re: Protection for the Prē
The screen portectors I ordered off eBay came in. They were cut wrong and didn't have a hole for the mic, so I emailed the guys and we will see what they say...
Anyway, the screen protector itself I really like. The surface is super smooth and glides really well for the swipe gestures. |

Thanks for the feedback. This is exactly what I'm looking to see... real feedback on product use.

Or as another option: I added my Pre as a rider to my homeowner's insurance policy...still $100 deductible, but only $17 per year for full value replacement. |

Re: Protection for the Prē
Well, because the screen protector I ordered through the mail was cut wrong I ended up buying an Invisible Shield, despite my previous hesitation to apply one to this device. I mostly bought it because I was at a Best Buy and they happened to have them in stock.
I got the full body model because the "screen only" model was just cut to cover the square "working area" of the screen, and just used the front part because I have the Touchstone back and didn't want to cover it. I have installed Invisible Shields previously on an iPod, an Instinct and a Diamond without much trouble. This one, however, was an absolute nightmare to apply because of the curved screen and because you have 3 holes to line up. It was very difficult and tedious. Someone earlier mentioned that they had access to professional Zagg installation for 10 bucks. I would highly recommend, that if you have access to this service and want to buy one of these screen protectors, take advantage of it... it will save you a major headache. Anyway, I just finished putting it on a bit ago so I will leave some more feedback after all the little bubbles melt. |
