Is there a limit to the number of ringtones you can have?

My girlfriends plam pre does not show all of her ringtones. But as she deletes ringtones, the ones that were not showing appear at the end of the list.

This leads me to believe that there is a limit to the number of ringtones that can be displayed. Does anyone know?
