Thanks,

I'm getting that too.

I see Opera indeed released 9.7 this morning as rumored. Any advice on installing it myself or waiting for an upgrade to 1.5 (or 1.4.1)?

While on the subject if 1.5, is there any news about the new battery driver and whether it is
the culprit of faster battery drain or not? Before reading the note about a possible drain, I did notice a faster drain with 1.5 but wasn't sure if it was an optical illusion based on SEEING the decrement from 100 to 99 to 98 rather than 100 to 80.

You need to install Main Menu to get a working Home button. But then, you have to install additional programs to get all the icons on that working as well.

Before you know it...its a real mess.

Where do I find the install for the Main Menu?

Activestink is killing me, the exchange trick isn't working, how did you guys kill it?

There's really not much you can do w/ Async if those tricks aren't working. Neither the exchange trick or async killer helped me. it sucks!!!

Can Async be uninstalled? I only use Windows to flash the new ROMs. I primarily use Linux on my PCs. Linux sees the phone as a flash drive or a network connection so I don't need Async.

Not sure which ActiveSync issue is the complaint. I always use MemMaid to kill one of the notifications for ActiveSync. You could use a trial version if that is all you need it for.

The one I kill (delete) is one of 3 replog.exe. The Argument below (when highlighted) says AppRunAfterTimeChange and sometimes it seems to make ActiveSync turn into "Hyper"Sync. This was a recognized fix back in the Apache and Titan forums.

Helps battery life.

Activesync keeps popping up a few seconds after you close it. I did the exchange trick but it had no affect.

As mentioned, nothing you can do if the tricks don't work. Its not meant to be shut down.

Anyway--regarding Opera 9.7--I still can't get an OEM working. So if you want to test it, install it to My Storage.
