I am new to the Omnia and followed the guide for flashing the phone with the new ROM with the hope of getting the GPS to work. After the step of connecting and turning on the phone, the loader log indicates that it can't find the PDA "PDA Device not found." Also "usbdev open Faile" several times.
I have hard reset the phone and restarted the PC as well as tried it on another PC with the same error.
If I turn on the ActiveSync then I can connect and brows the phone.
Any sugestions?

are you following the pdf instructions step by step? do you have the "allow usb connections" box unchecked in active sync?

Im very interested in cooking a rom that would unlock my gps on my omnia, i have not applied a cooked rom into my phones ever however and would like some assistance if it is possible since i dont wanna brick my pretty phone. Thanks would of course be in order and maybe more *wink wink nod nod*
Yes i tried to do it on my xv6900 and alas bricked it thank god for unconditional insurance and a real brick, lol.

I have a kitchen uploaded, but its not complete. It needs an image extracted before any cooking can be done.
