If you have an HTC Hero, you might want to check this out. It's an update for the phone that will bring Android 2.1 and an updated Sense UI to the HTC Hero.

If you have a CDMA hero, do not install the rom. After installing the radio, you have a bricked device. If you only try to flash the rom, it will fail, but you will be able to flash back to stock.
