Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Official Price $349.99 (100 rebate - 2 yr commit DS) - 9-8-2
Yeah, 350 is just way too much. Hopefully down the line Best Buy will have them at a cheaper price like with the original Touch Pro.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Official Price $349.99 (100 rebate - 2 yr commit DS) - 9-8-2
Sprint has simply lost their minds.
At the same point, do you think the Touch Pro 2 in any way would have stemmed the bleeding for Sprint? Windows Mobile devices are niche products and not mass market, so materially this does not affect them as much as a bungled Pre/Hero launch. I hope Sprint does wisely with their Hero rollout and does not handicap themselves by inhibiting the adoption of what looks like the first decent Android phone. This is Sprint's shot to get in Android game with a compelling phone. $450.00 out of pocket commitment for the Touch Pro 2 is offensive. |

As for the TP2. if people are not buying them because of their prices, they will have to lower them just like every other handset that they sell. Besides WM is buggy. For the price, it better the the perfect phone! |
Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Official Price $349.99 (100 rebate - 2 yr commit DS) - 9-8-2
possibly but then again other third party sites could have fantastic deals on devices (much akin to t mobile touch pro 2)
so you never know... |

it didn't happen with telus but then again telus touch pro 2 was actually affordable as well
it is really strange that sprint is charging this large price for a 2 year contract and not outright |

$199. Still not bad for a very well operating system. I would definitively pay that much for the TP2, being that there are lots of people with bad taste in their mouth from the original TP. Bad Keyboards, Bad Screens, Bad original software, Bad Battery life. I think I've made my point. |
Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Official Price $349.99 (100 rebate - 2 yr commit DS) - 9-8-2
yea, this hardware is already outdated.. thats the sad part about it.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Official Price $349.99 (100 rebate - 2 yr commit DS) - 9-8-2
if the sprint touch pro 2 is like the t-mobils tp2, then its well worth the extra money.... I left sprint to get tmobiles tp2 because sprint was taking to long for me.lol i get great 3g and a good plan that saves me some money...
anyways, the screen size and battery life alone is worth the money IMO, the battery easily will last a day and then some of some heavy usage.... its extremely sturdy and well built, i was once saying no way will i spend money on the same phone with a bigger screen and possible better battery life, but after playing with one at tmobile and reading about the great hardware and battery life, i had to take the plunge.... i got the 149.99 deal of wmdeals.com so i didnt pay the full 349.99 that yall might have to if there is no deal like this, but regardless I would have easily payed for the phone full price.... It really is a fantastic phone, coming from a on the fence guy at one point, its well worth it.... |

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Official Price $349.99 (100 rebate - 2 yr commit DS) - 9-8-2
$350 is too steep. I'd considering going from the TP to TP2 for ~$200.

H, my name is Ex
This phone is worth about $3.50 since it STILL IS MISSING 3D drivers! AND 2D. For what it is worth, I do agree with Ex that we should have the drivers. As such, I am not paying for this phone. |
Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Official Price $349.99 (100 rebate - 2 yr commit DS) - 9-8-2

Sprint will have to make me a good deal, or there will be no deal and contract renewal. $350 is too much entirely.
|
Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Official Price $349.99 (100 rebate - 2 yr commit DS) - 9-8-2
and I was told in person today the date was 9-3. Oh, well.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 - Official Price $349.99 (100 rebate - 2 yr commit DS) - 9-8-2
Here's how you get a cheaper TP2:
1. Buy your phone at Best Buy - You pay $350 + Tax out the door...no need to mess w/ the $100 Rebate 2. Sell your Touch Pro I was fortunate enough to have the HTC Diamond collecting dust...so I sold my TP on Craigslist for $200. That brings my total TP2 purchase price to $150! |
