Re: Nokia RX-51
The keyboard is not great, but I could live with it. However, where is the software? For those of us who depend on Word, Excel and similar applications, this device is no more there than the Pre.

Re: Nokia RX-51
interesting stuff... its only a matter of time before our phone look and act like 4-5inch screened netbooks that make phone calls lol
anyone else notice the keyboard slider is significantly disproportioned to the top of the phone? seems like fully slid out(as pictured) the KB is barely half the size of the screen

Re: Nokia RX-51
I had the N810 (in fact, I sold one here at the Bargin Trader sub-forum). It was fun while it lasted. I'm hoping there are capacitive buttons on the face of the device along side the screen....because otherwise it would be a complete waste of space, IMO...which could be used for a bigger screen. Even so, Maemo5, new Arm Cortex CPU, upgraded camera and even the ability to charge over usb (which the N810 did not have) would have probably been enough to lure me back to Nokia and Maemo...if only I didnt just get a Viliv S5. In all honesty, I was wayyy more excited when I first heard about the TP2 release, than I ever was about this.
BTW, the N810 was technically an Internet tablet Device. Still though, I constantly heard people calling it a 'phone'. It seems that the same thing is happening to this device too. Its an internet tablet, folks, with [potential] phone functionality. Please dont start asking if we will ever see it on CDMA networks. |

Re: Nokia RX-51
Looks nice till you get to the keyboard, it better slide open more and add a row of keys on the final product.
