Agreed.

Sprint/T-Mobile ok, since I know I won't get scrooged, AT&T no (I just have issues with AT&T's 3G performance, thats all) & I can picture VZW being a nightmare of a controlled expireince, more app cuts and a lack of GPS for the 1st 6 months or year...

The whole exlclusivity thing needs to be dropped.

An IPhone on Sprint would probably require a SE plan, although that's still better than AT&T. With LTE around the corner, perhaps there will be a IPhone 4G coming also. VZW would be in the running if that happens.

I will be so glad to see the day!
And I must admit I wouldn't mind picking one up if Sprint were to carry them but after railing my iFanboy buddies for so long if I even meantioned the thought of buying a Sprint/iPhone I would catch *%#@ for it as long as I live!!

if I could get an iphone on Sprint i'd def. get an old 2g for under $100 and just jailbreak it to do what a 3gs does, just to have one to mess with and stuff, of course I doubt if they started they'd sell anything before a 3gs. It's hard to tell where the iphone will go from here short of a full OS overhaul a la WM7, there are only so many things left for that OS to be able to do before people just get tired of the whole deal.

Why would you need to jailbreak a 2G iphone? Can't you upgrade the software to the same OS version as the 3GS? If you want access to the unsanctioned apps, that's one thing, but I thought all iPhones were able to upgrade to the new OS.

On a side note, it would be nice to see a CDMA version of the iPhone.

I suppose they are, I hadn't thought about it, but then again I'd want to at least change my background (you still can't do that on a locked iphone can you?)

AND set mp3 as a ringtone...

I got friends over here in Seattle that hve Iphones on T-mobile for a while now. But I would not see myself owning one tho, lack of removable storage + keyboard are deal breakers to me.

I'm sticking with the TP series, the iPhone would just be my dog I throw frizzbies at if I ever got one.

EDIT: Watch a snapdragon chip OMEGA Doo-Doo all over the iPhone when it releases...next thing you know, the iPhone 4G will launch, so on and so-forth.
