eh arent all "real" things kept hush hush until wham!! its here? 6.5 was some mythological make believe new "upgrade". winmo 7 is the real deal. m$ probably did play around with the idea of 6.5 but then killed it. Look at how many custom roms there are of 6.5 and yet it aint even out LOLOLOL. m$ is just trying to keep its customers from going to apple. they hyped up a quickie put together upgrade when yet they were really working on 7. time will only tell.....

I remember reading an interview where the 6.5 developers said that 6.5 wasn't an add on of features. They said it was built from the ground up, they also said that they were very rushed and that the UI wasn't as in depth as they had planned

bingo! rushed indeed. its just a tactic used to keep and possibly lure in a new customer or two for that new ui as on going development went on for winmo 7. smart move of m$ imo. maybe their a little slow with the 'new' factor. but least 6.5 will be fun for a few days lol

how do you know the tp2 (and diamond2 as well) wont be compatible with wm7?

wm6.5 and wm7 have two completely different design teams.

I have a feeling we will be seeing wm7 next year around the time expected. Windows 7 is being worked on by a different team than windows 6.5 so it doesnt matter that 6.5 will be released right before 7. There are already a few leaks of it out, very very rough alpha builds, but still wm7 non-the-less. What ever happened to wm6.7 does anyone remember that?
6.5 is just holding us off till 7, they are probably testing some features under the hood that will end up in 7, just much more refined

you don't know that, im sure wm7 will be ported to older phones just as 6.5 was.

maybe, but most likely in the slow to barely any progress rate like Android.... remember, its a complete overhaul with new drivers etc. so its not like changing the SYS in WindowsCE where its basically designed for our devices

Ok, remember this guys, the official release will for WM7 will be Spring 2010, lol....when do you think the leaks will start? Alot earlier

P.S. They already said that all devices released in 2009 will not be compatible with WM& and they even release the requirements for WM7, and 1 of which is missing is a QualComm Processor....So the only device that's has a chance for the year 2009 is HTC SuperStar with the new nVidia Processor
