[FIXED!]The biggest mistake of Microsoft in mobility in the year 2009 !
Article - http://msmobiles.com/news.php/8117.html
Post - http://twitter.com/windowsmobile/status/1361817172 While Google Android developers need to pay only $25 dollars and get unlimited uploads of applications (both new ones and upgrades), while Apple iPhone developers need to pay $99 dollars and get unlimited uploads of applications (both new ones and upgrades), in case of Microsoft: Windows Mobile developers will have to pay also $99 but will get for this amount only 5 (FIVE) uploads of new applications (AND!!!!!) upgrades. In other words: this mistaken decision of Microsoft just encourages developers not to update. While apps for Google Android and Apple iPhone are being upgraded very often (Pocket God for iPhone is being updated EVERY WEEK) what brings extremely high quality and functionality, the Windows Mobile developers will be penalized by Microsoft. EDIT - http://msmobiles.com/news.php/8140.html "So for $99 developers will be able to upload 5 applications and, contrary to previous information: unlimited number of uploads: "

I just think its crazy that microsoft actually expect people to pay 99 dollars for 5 updates when all the other "stores" are offering 25 and 99 for unlimited |

Re: The biggest mistake of Microsoft in mobility in the year 2009 !
Its weird
its not often that I see updates that happen once a week unless the program is highly unstable. Usually for major developers (spb and the like) I see maybe 2-3 critical program updates a year (save from wisbar LOL) also for other developers just learning they stick their stuff on xda or our site...heck with that in mind we can make our own app store... |

Re: The biggest mistake of Microsoft in mobility in the year 2009 !
Since the app store doesn't even exist yet I think Microsoft will eventually change this. But I would guess their reasoning behind it is so only the best of the best, fully tested/functioning apps are in the store. Think about how many different WM devices/ROMs there are, not to mention custom ROMs. Not every app works with every device. Where as the iPhone currently has two OS/devices. Every iPhone app should work on every iPhone. People bash Microsoft enough as it is. The last thing they need are thousands of WM users complaining that the app they downloaded from the MS store doesn't work on their device.

My thoughts exactly! Don't think Microsoft wants applications that warrant that much updating.

There you go, your free "eStore" for Windows Mobile. 95%+ of what you could ever want do do on a windows Mobile device, you can do for free.
