Ok, now i'm a little upset. I understand that technology is ever changing and evolving, but I think what HTC has done with the Touch PRO 2 is just wrong. I've seen the modifications they have made and I have to wonder why? Why didn't they put these in the original HTC TOUCH PRO? The software modifications seem so minor, yet have such a major impact. Plus the fact that it's realese is relatively soon after the HTC TOUCH PRO?

Come on HTC, I understand you're trying to make more money but don't alienate the prior dedicate users by doing so because you will soon lose them. Put together a ROM update for the HTC Touch PRO that makes the changes that you have for the TOUCH PRO 2.

They release a device, see how it goes over, listen to feed back, then make a newer improved device.

This is how it works for a lot of things, just not electronics. Why not just buy a TP2 when they come out? If the newer features and the improvements are such a huge deal to you, you shouldn't mind paying more.

Or wait until whatever comes out after the TP2 and buy it instead.

Yeah, don't worry. We'll see the Touch Pro 2 software package for the original Touch Pro. The hardware is the same outside of the WVGA screen, and that won't be hard to modify if previous experience is any indication.

I'm pretty bugged that they did not upgrade the processor so as to provide better video and graphics performance. For that reason alone I am skipping the Touch Pro 2, and I am looking forward to the subsequent HTC device. Hopefully it will use Nvidia's Tegra chip or something like that.

Yeah, the TP2 is about as much an upgrade as the Kaiser was to the Titan. Nothing major. The 6700 to the Mogul was a bigger upgrade (6.0, Rev A Upgradable)than the TP to TP2

The TP2 only offers an improved resolution and tilt screen. Big Woop.
