Yes, but the GPS is not locked on the Alltel's Touch Pro. Perhaps that and the merger have something to do with their decision. I can't imagine having all Alltel users grandfathered in with unlocked GPS while Verizon's TP's GPS would remain locked.

Wow, Impressive, Verizon acutally releasing a phone that has open GPS ? Thought they would nickel dime ya like they do everything else.

so I guess I'm a noob, and been trying to read through all the forums. and can't actually find an answer. I just got a xv6900 in May, it has WM6.1. what exactually do I need to do to get GPS and google maps working on this thing?? any body have a link to a step-by-step?
