anyone else thing the release date is a little funny "april 1st" like APRIL FOOLS DAY, if it is released officially I do not see it happening on april fools day, but as this thread gets longer and longer it makes for a good april fools day joke....

well this is official people its on cnet.com, and engadget...According to my recent knowledge HTC releases roms on tuesdays they never released on a monday BUT...being that it is a windows update we actually might be seing the update being that Microsoft/windows releases updates on tuesday which will be on da 1st so take ur own shot

wow, CNET even comented on the fact its aprils fools day, but some valid points were made. not sure about the second link since it took me nowhere but a blank white screen

I've never had a problem with flashing. You shouldn't be scared. I consider myself to be a noob and I found it very easy to flash. Everything you need is on this website. It takes me about 10 mins to flash and another 10mins to reinstall everything.

I don't see the point in waiting. Your phone will be the same as if u were flashing with the rom going to be released by sprint. Actually it'll be better cause you can customize the programs you want

no2chem's rom is pretty good...
DCD's kitchen is good too, but it doesn't come with as many goodies as ppckitchen.org roms
Haven't tried that V something rom, but I will...

So if Microsoft officially releases 6.1, what does that mean for users like myself that has a Sprint Touch with 6.0 Pro? I am aware that a lot of new phones are now shipping with 6.1 out of the box, but will there be a chance for people with phones like mine to upgrade to 6.1 without having to use a cooked rom? Will I be able to maybe click on "Windows update" which never finds any updates and have it find an upgrade to 6.1? Will I be able to go to Microsofts website to give them more of my hard earned money to upgrade to 6.1?

Or does this just mean that from now on all phones with Windows Mobile will come with 6.1?

Just wondering....
