Yea, let's let HTC give an annoucement to a product that has a 100% unknown release date that has already been re-scheduled 2 times. Don't think they would do it, as most companies would not.

LG does not make the Windows Mobile OS, Microsoft does, LG can claim what they want but, if Microsoft delays it again, it might be 2011-12 before we see it.

Personally I think they have balls to say someting like that and can not show any hardware that will run it or any prieview of what they are doing.

too late IMO for winmo. i jumped ship and went to webos and won't look back. many others i know feel the same. ill believe wm7 when i see it and it better be mind blowing.

It is expected I mean its easy to deduce that windows mobile 7 was coming out this year even after the few month delay. they have till november/december to prove something nice...and I think they will...

lg has been creating phones with windows mobile os for a bit now so this leak doesn't come as a surprise. What I am more interested in is balmer's presentation in about 4 hours

Just hoping LG is not just making empty claims, cos this would put some pressure on other wm device makers to hurry into the win 7 wm os, which will be a whole new world for us users.

i wouldn't be surprised if they decide to abandon wm7. they're just losing ground too fast against apple and webos and android. seriously, even though they've had a few minor upgrades, wm is still basically ce underneath the hood, blocky, clunky, and ugly as sin.

i really like wm because it has a lot of tweaking potential, but some cosmetic improvements, all the way around, as well as increased functionality, are definitely needed. i want the hd2, but...truth be told, i'm already running sense (thanks nrg), and the hd2 is a fantastic piece of hardware that is getting lowballed, because it has to use wm6.5.

i don't wanna get the hd2 to be running the same thing i am now. i'm seriously thinking about going android, just to try something new.
