UNABLE TO CONNECT!!= VERY FRUSTRATING

Multiple times a day I'm forced to reset my Q because of the 'unable to connect' error. I'm either trying to access a web page or I'm trying to manually send/receive email.

I've read other sites and they said to update the vision profile. I did this and nothing.

I've called Tech Support and they're clueless. They're suggesting a HARD RESET.

Anyone having this problem? This is the ONLY thing I don't like about the Q.

I have never seen this :?:

I've had this problem a number of times..
The fix is basically enabling PCS Vision
Go to Settings, keep going to G.more....until you get to the PCS Vision Menu. Open the Menu by hitting A...Select A.PCS VIsion and make sure it's on enable, NOT disable. Hit Done, and you should be good to go. If it still isn't working after enabling it, you need to update the vision profile again.
Good Luck, remember customer service and the stores don't really even get these phones until next week, so they won't be much help.

that doens't work. I'm always enabled for VISION. At times I get a 1012 error when I try to update the vision profile. As usual, to fix it, I have to power off and on.

Very frustrating.. :(

I'm not the only one..

I'm having multiple "cannot connect" problems as well. Also, my Sprint Q just locks up every other day or so (Agenda One the only 3rd party sw on my device). The Sprint Q needs an update in a bad way.

Some have had success with a replacement. That makes me think we have a bad batch of Q's or something. I'm going to request a replacement and hope for a firmware upgrade!! :x

I think I've found a trend here....

When I receive/place a call and then try to go into Vision afterwards (not always RIGHT after) but after, it won't connect.

I've now made it routine to restart the phone after each call.

Annoying... Um, that's an obvious question..

I've tested this, and I do not have this problem with the incoming/outgoing call----unable to connect problem. I was starting to have the unable to connect problem too, so that's why I checked. I rebooted, did the EV-DO hack, and had the phone do its update PCS Vision thing...NO problems since. :)

I have been traveling recently and I have been in some areas with intermittent coverage. I started having this problem and found it went away after I turned auto roaming off. After going in and out of roaming I would have to restart my Q to regain a connection so I turned roaming off and went to Sprint only and was able to stay connected to sprint and I haven't had to restart. I recommend you use either sprint only or roaming only and see if that helps. let us know. 8)

Apply the latest update, it takes care of your problem ;) I had a similar problem and it has gone away after the update for good!

Hey Kids, this is from the sprint fourm website that techs are able to get to...

Actions:
Dial ##3282# on the device.
Press the green Send/Call button.
Select Advanced and press the soft-key under OK.
Select Edit and press the soft-key under OK.
Enter MSL and press the soft-key under OK.
Scroll down and change Slotted Index from 2 to 0.
DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE.
Press the soft-key under OK.
The device will power cycle.
After the device powers back up, Update Data Profile (Client IOTA):

Select Start.
Select Settings.
Select More.
Select More.
Select More.
Select PCS Vision.
Select Update Vision Profile.
After the update completes, the user should be able to access Vision services.

I will also post a thread.

If you need your MSL which all of you will, just call the cust service dept and ask for your MSL. If you can not get it from the cust svc, I will , MAYBE, get it for you. I will not handle all requests...
