From what I have seen from most everyone, Sprint won't add new ESN's to their Database that aren't already there, so no I guess is the short answer.

Yes. If not rooted use PDANet for USB tethering. If rooted then there are kernals or programs that can be used for a WiFi hotspot and USB tethering.

Is there any way to go into a menu to force data only on the Droid? I can do it with my TP2 by dialing ##778.
