usb connectivity issues

I can plug my 'droid into my computers and mount the sd card for data management. When I plug it into the work computer running the same OS, I have problems. It wants me to install the driver....it can't find the driver....I get the USB error mounting tones (3 bonks) and the device is yellow in the devman.

I have usb debugging turned on, and if I try to "turn on usb storage" (Froyo) it flashes orange (in use) and then goes back to green.

What am I doing wrong....?
