Force 1x?
 

With every phone I've ever had with Verizon, I'd found that leaving the phone in 1x mode increases battery life significantly.

Does anyone know if there is/will be a way to force the Droid into 1x mode?

Even better would be a quick way to toggle back and forth, then I get the best of both worlds.
