Re: adb shell? what is that?
ADB is the Android Debug Bridge and is found in the Android SDK. Little more explanation here: http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?title=ADB Commands are explained here as well such as adb shell.
This is run from your computer, PC or Mac, in terminal or the command prompt. It is used to do things on your device from your computer. |
Re: adb shell? what is that?

No. You don't mount the SDcard to run these commands. You have to adb in to the phone shell. I'm not as familiar with doing this in Mac since I don't own one but you will perform similar commands (if not the exact same ones) to the linux ones in terminal. |
Re: adb shell? what is that?
So i put my phone in recovery mount the system and sdcard.
(i already downloaded android sdk onto my mac) then i......??? |
Re: adb shell? what is that?
No, you don't need to be in recovery. Just connect to your Mac and you should be able to use adb. As long as your phone is recognized anyway.

Re: adb shell? what is that?
You need to cd to the tools folder for the sdk. Then run the commands.
