nandroid questions

so i understand what it is, and how to create a simple one and restore back to it...

but im not quite clear about making 'Advanced' ones...

when i boot into recovery, i can select backup, then i can select 'Advanced Nandroid Backup'
then i get a few options.... i decided it would be safest to check them all...
(can anyone correct me if i shouldnt be and why?)

after that i name it what i want (i chose the date) and then it creates it... cool

this (i believe) allows me to make multiple nandroids of different ROMs so i can go back to anyone i want, correct?

now heres where i got confused

to restore to a normal nandroid, you select 'simple nandroid restore(latest)'

for advanced i select Advanced Nandroid Restore'


then i get two options and check boxes...

i assume that even if i had selected all the check boxes when performing the backup, i can select which ones i want to include in the restore?

the two options are 'choose backup' and perform restore'

(i havent gone any farther then this)
i assume choose back up lets me search the SD card for the nandroid backup i want to use?

then i would select the perform restore to do it?


(btw, after typing this and reading it over again, it actually makes more sense now )
