Hard reset or flash a rom and wipe data.

if you have a rooted phone you can download a cache clearing app from the market or just boot into recovery and there should be a wipe cache option. either of those should clear the market. if you do the recovery way, make sure you don't wipe data or you will lose your apps.

None of what's posted here works. It seems that the cache is on google's side and tied to your gmail account.

The only work around is a full factory wipe and logging in to your phone using another gmail account.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. It's called "Quick Boot". It works well. It allows you to reboot, boot into recovery, or bootloader. The only thing is that after making a selection, it takes like 15-30 seconds before it does anything, making you think that it doesn't work. They should add a loading screen in or something to clarify that it is doing it's job.
