Toggle Bluetooth on Location???

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone has come across an app or somthing that would let me preset actions that I want my phone to do when I get home, or maybe when I get to work. I keep my location on all the time and I think it would be cool if my phone would automaticly switch on wifi and bluetooth when I get home, and make sure my ringer was on high when I get to work. I know its sheer laziness, but thats what smartphones are for, to think about things so I dont have to.

The real reason why I want it is cause im switching out my home phones to those new bluetooth cordless phones that you can pair 2 cell phones to and just use 1 handset. I think I would always forget to turn my bluetooth on and if I leave it on my battery will suck worse than it already does.

If anyone has seen anything like that, please let me know. Thanks

Re: Toggle Bluetooth on Location???

You need the app called locale, it can change all sorts of settings based on location, time, person, etc.

Since Locale isn't free anymore another good option is Timeriffic. It will let you set up a schedule for your ringer, wifi, bluetooth, etc. I love the program and it's a must have for someone who is both lazy and forgetful like myself

Re: Toggle Bluetooth on Location???

Yes, your right! I completely forgot about the fact that the free beta is no longer available on the market.

Go here if you need it:

Note: If a mod has a problem with this, let me know and I will remove the link. In all actuality, it is not warez, much like the old versions of WMWiFiRouter.

I noticed today that Locale is no longer working. I've been using it since day one then starting getting the nag that to update would require purchase yet it still worked since it was already installed. Now it is saying the Beta has ended...PAY UP! $9.99 is bit steep. Someone mentioned Timeriffic for time-based control and I will check it out.

Anyone know any other location-based utilities like Locale? Or using other alternatives to Timeriffic?

Re: Toggle Bluetooth on Location???

You might want to try an app from the market called Setting Profiles. I have it cut on wifi when I get home. I have it go into vibrate only mode during meetings. At 10:00 at night, it cuts off all sounds and vibrations with the exception of the ringer. It even goes into vibrate mode when I am at church. It works really well and I have had not issues with it. I know its a paid app, but it wasn't much and it works really well and the dev has posted several updates within the last two weeks, so he must be keeping up with it. IMHO, it is well worth the pocket change.
