Stupid Droid Question #1 - Transfer a Contact

I have a Droid and my wife has and Eris. I have several contacts that she would like on her phone. I know that I can do a Export/Import on the GMail website and transfer these contacts, but is there a way (bluetooth, etc...) to transfer them between our phones? I used to have a Mogul and she had a Razr and it took two seconds to do this. Now with the Android phones, I'm at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a neat app in the market called Bump. As I recall you will be able to transfer contact and photos. Do a lil fist bump and poof...all done.

I gave this a shot and it looked neat, but I didn't like the idea of it having to upload the contact or whatever you wanted to transfer to a web site. I have paired my phone with my wife's via bluetooth and they connect fine. Why wouldn't there be a function to transfer via the bluetooth connection? It seems like that would be much simpler and more secure than pumping something up to a server and then pushing down to the other device. I was quite unnerved when I ran Bump the first time and the GPS came on and it informed me that the remote server connection was established and ready to go. I am definitely not a conspiracy theorist by any stretch of the imagination, but I was just very uncomfortable with sending my private information to someplace that I had no control over. Anyway, we'll wait and see what is to come with the 2.1 release.

Bluetooth File Transfer

allows you to send contacts via bluetooth try that instead.
