2.1 and gmail ??
 

Does anyone running the Rom 2.1 know if the gmail app has been fixed to allow opening of attachments? I hate having to go to web based gmail to view attachments. Makes the gmail app stupid. Also with 2.1 can you hear music/sounds with MMS?

sound/music still don't work in 2.1 and my gmail app opens attachments once i hit view preview o_0

Thanks for the reply you scary guy :) I forwarded a message to my gmail and I can't see anything but the fact that it was a forwarded email No body. However if I go to gmail in the browser I can see all the pictures? Looking thru gmail app settings I don't see anywhere to show complete message.

As for sound/music still not working in 2.1 thats a bummer. Can not believe it was overlooked. Might hae to start a thread " Droid Doesn't "

all my e-mail have the attachments as external attachments i haven't tried any embedded pictures.

Well I installed K-9, I'll play with that for awhile. Maybe there is a MMS App in the market that does music/sound.

handcent is suppose to allow you to send audio but at a very small size not sure about if any of them allow the playing of it.

Funny I remembered 2 MMS messages that had video and sound that worked just fine. They both came from my sister's Iphone!

I can receive MMS messages with audio without any problems. I have received quite a few messages recently with attached audio clips. I haven't tried sending any, and will check on that later today/tomorrow

BTW: I use ChompSMS for SMS/MMS

REALLY?! I freaking LOVE ChompSMS!!!!!

EDIT: According to androlib, it's rated 4.51/5 with 40,000 ratings, doesn't seem too bad to me.

I had both handcent and this one and chomp is a lot faster and nicer :) DROID ERIS

Hands down better than handcent! This app is crisper and doesn't bog down the mytouch.
