Batteries and Extended Doors
So far these are the batteries I have come across. All batteries from the Droid X should still be comptable.
Official Motorola BH6X 1,880mAh -Looks like the extended cover doesn't jet out much. Thinner than the thickness of the area with the camera. Seidio Innocell 1,750mAh -Not sure how big this is, might as well just go with OEM though. Innocell 2,600mAh -Looks pretty large, will make the phone overall thicker Monaco 3,000mAh -Haven't seen a picture on the device but I am guessing it is huge Yoobao 2,400mAh -Looks pretty large, will make the phone overall thicker Gorilla Gadgets 3,500mAh -Haven't seen a picture on the device but I am guessing it is huge The perfect battery for me would extend the exact thickness of the camera part down and taper nicely around the edges. It seems like the are either smaller or thicker, not the in between that I would like. For now I am going to see how much regular use I get out of the stock battery, perhaps moving up to the official motorola battery if I see a good deal. So far today I seem to be draining at 10% per hour. This is with Wifi on. I went ahead and ordered the OEM extended battery. I'd like to have a spare and I want to do more research on these third party batteriest to make sure their mAh claims are accurate. I will report back later (might take a week to deliver). Re: Batteries and Extended Doors
I picked up this door and this battery. Even though both are listed under the Droid X2 section, the door color does not match the rest of the body. Meh, ohh well not that big a deal for me. So far I can't really notice a weight difference. The extended door is just slightly larger. I only notice it at the bottom of the door. So far the battery seems much stronger.
