Wife said when she got up this morning her phone the x had a update to 2.2 something I didn't get to see it. And now when I try to start teathering it says can not start plz try again and I am rooted. Anybody know anything about this?

DroidX will do a system update right to device..

What program are you using to tether?
Are you on 2.2 now?
-you can check by going to settings from home screen and click about phone at bottom.

I also have a rooted DX but for the last two days every time I tell it to download and install it downloads the update but when it goes to install it, it starts the install process and then I get a triangle with a yellow ! in it and the install fails.

Anyone else seen this issue or know of a of a fix for it?

Are you on 2.2 now? If, so what version

I am on version 2.3.15MB810, Android versio 2.2, Baseband BP_C_01_09_07P.

Ok, here is what VZW told me. This update is BAD, it will not install. They are in the process of fixing it but they didn't give me an ETA for a good file to be put in place for downloading.

I'm wondering if you didn't get a partial install that screwed up your tethering? Mine didn't install at all so my root is still in place and everything is working fine.

big this is the info on the phone so what do i need to do to get my teathering to start working again maybe just a reroot? help plz

ok so i just talked to a friend of mine witch has the x also and i have the same done to his as my wifes. rooted and teathering. he called me this morning asked if her phone had a update and i told him it did. now his teathering is not working either. can someone help me get this fixed plz. and is no1 else having this problem?
