USB Connect problem

i have to connect to my work/home and laptop pcs throughout the day,
when i try to connect it through the usb cable none of my pcs recognize my Moto x. so i have to power down, and then power BACK UP to have it connect through the usb.

is there something i can do so i dont have to power up/down almost everytime
