So you can actually write to system files. Eventually, it will be required for the roms once they get more complex. It also allows you to restore backups correctly.
No special steps needed.
I did the 1st OTA intentionally after I heard that the real root method still works just to make sure. If you saw my latest video, follow the rooting guide along w/ the video and you'll be set. BTW - Don't do the new OTA or any future one's for that matter. Always wait for developers to release a rooted version.
