With nrg's rom, you need to choose the default wallpaper from manila settings tab. Also you must install to 'main memory' for it to work. It works fine with nrg's ROMs (at least his previous ones), though you may need the 'move down' fix in post 1 after you've installed the panoramic cab of your choice.

Got a quick question ... I was able to build a panoramic bg and the portrait version works perfectly. The landscape version is a different story lol. The first image that shows is a repeat of the far right image and then the rest of landscape are the 3 regular images again. Anyone else run into something like this or have thoughts on what to check?

zip up your 67ea4038_manila, 67fc58b9_manila, 680e713a_manila, 6832a23c_manila, 6844babd_manila, and 682089BB_manila files and post them. As long as 6832a23c_manila, 6844babd_manila, and 682089BB_manila contain the image you want in landscape, they should display correctly. What cab did you install from post 1 or if it was included with a ROM you flashed, which one? If you didn't modify 5c9aa261_manila or 3941bc49_manila, it should work correctly.

Files attached. I added a folder into Calk's kitchen so I could select it like any of the other backgrounds. I'm building a 23017 6.5 rom and had the same results with both the 9-23 and 9-28 kitchens. Portrait is fine each time. From a process standpoint, I made a copy of the 512x512 images and on the copies changed them to the appropriate names for the landscape set. I've tried both padded and unpadded thru the cfcgui with the same outcome. Thanks for taking a look!

You were doing everything right, but just had the ones in landscape in the wrong order. When you look at them in cfcgui, the first 3 listed are portrait left to right and the bottom 3 are landscape left to right. Sorted by name, they are listed left to right for both portrait and landscape (if that makes any sense).
Code:

          pic    left    middle  right
portrait:  left 67ea403->67fc58b->680e713 right
landscape: left 682089B->6832a23->6844bab right

I've attached to corrected files since I was looking at them anyway :).

The mod is for VGA (as in the title :)), so it won't work for your WVGA tp2 without adjusting the y-positioning values. The reason you probably got the white is because the manila files are cfc compressed. I am not sure, but it looks like your stock manila may not support cfc compression.

Re: [VGA]Manila 2.1 Panoramic Background v2b

Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem with the latest NRG ROM, Oct. 13th build, and Gen Y Panoramic V2b. Before once I installed the cab and I got the default image I just copied my own manila files to the windows directory to change to my panoramic image. Then I would go to the setting tab and the wallpaper selection and select YES to go back to the default wallpaper and all would be great. Now I can't get rid of the default wallpaper on the Home screen. It is gone initially when I install the cab but then it comes back when I copy my files to windows. Then I can't get rid of it and it really slows down sliding between tabs a lot!! I hope someone will have an answer to this. I love Gen Y Panoramic cab!!
