Lg Expo Impressions

Here we go, first Lg Expo thread. This thread is for ppl who have lg expos and want to say how awesome/horrible they are and prospective owners out there!

Ill start

Ive had my expo for a good 5-6 days now and i must say it is amazing. Snapdragon does not let down at all. I was worried that he screen was small, and about the small amount of ram, but coming from my touch pro the screen is amazing and so far have hand no ram issues at all!

Love it , if anyone has any questions feel free to ask away.

Re: Lg Expo Impressions

I tried one out in the telus store (called the LG IQ there), and did like what I saw.

I didn't like the LG software, but what can ya do?

Also, do you know if it has an accelerometer? I'm sure it does but...

If there was a rom with HTC Sense for this phone I would get it, but as is now I'm going to avoid it.

Sensors: accelerometer(gyro), light, proximity, gps, digital compass and fingerprint scanner

no, as of right now there are no Roms at all, afaik a rom or hspl can not be made until we have a rom from one of the oems or manufacture.

Re: "digital compass" ....

The "Compass" is described in LG's Manual in the "Extras" folder in "ATT Navigator".

However, my "Extras" menu does not have either of the "Compass" or the "Record Location" icons. Also, my screen is "AT&T Maps" as opposed to "AT&T Navigator". (Unfortunately I don't have enough posts here to upload a screenshot from the manual.)

Am I correct in thinking that this function is only available with the "ATT Navigator" Upgrade?
It would be nice if there was another way to release this function. (I could not find a reference to "Compass" in the Registry.)

Re: Lg Expo Impressions

I've had mine for almost 2 weeks now. Trying out SPB mobile shell 3.5 on it. definitely better than the default UI or the LG S-class UI. still trying to find some good apps to make it more finger friendly.

Specs wise the eXpo is definitely great, but doesn't seem like there's a lot of buzz around this phone, people are talking about HTC HD2 or the various Android phones.

The thing that bugs me most is the poor battery life.
