here are two good. multitasking progs ( I don't really like backgrounder by itself)

note: it still uses backgrounder as the springboard extension to have apps remain open, but these task managers have nice GUIs and allow easy switching.

I'm using the Lockinfo with the HTC sense clock/weather look on my lockscreen. Also SBSettings is another good one. 3G unrestrictor is cool. The rest I can't mention on here.

iRemix = bookmarks in my ipod, and Favorites on the fly.
NoAccessorySplash = Maintain control of my Ipod when connected to my car stereo
and be able to charge while streaming media.
3g unrestrictor = Facetime over 3g !!!!
