Yea, It was my computer. I updated my winrar and it worked fine after a restart.

Funny. WinZip 14.5 works for all previous ROM files but gave me an "Unknown compression method" error with the Oct.01 one. WinRAR worked fine though.

i think theres a problem with the new roms. there's a slight noise coming from the speakers that makes a clicking noise every once in a while.

is this fixable?

Yep, same here. I use 7-Zip for everything and it didn't recognize the archive. I just downloaded WinRar and got it to unzip. NRG must have done something new with the compression method...

If you like 7-Zip, the 9.16 version works. It says "beta" but I find it to be stable.

The 4.6.5 version that fails (as noted in a few posts) is dated 2009-02-03. The 9.16 version that works is much newer with a date of 2010-09-08.

I dont care that it doesnt work anymore. I got rid of the ImagiOh-my-God-I-hate-this-phone. Got a Droid instead. Just wanted to get on here one last time and say goobye to you all. One year from now, there will be better, faster phones which can handle more RAM hungry apps than now and then everyone will be complaining about those apps not working well on the Droid X! It is a vicious cycle. Just hope someone like NRGZ and the other chefs will be working on the Droid X at that time and keeping those owners happy who cannot just replace it and buy another phone...
