Re: teathering problems
Have you already done the ICS reg edits? Here are the reg edits:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=720308 If so check in your connection settings and make sure you don't have your data set to disconnect after it sits idle for a period of time. I bet that's what is happening.

I have same issue but I get about 15 minutes. Funny thing is, with bluetooth I don't have the issue. |

Re: teathering problems
There are some settings in Activesync as well that you can change but dunno if that will help. I'm thinking it has something to do with the actual data connections settings.

Re: teathering problems
im gonna give the ics hacks a shot thanks horndoctor and gedster314 i may just go and buy a bluetooth dongel if it will work better lol
EDIT the ics hacks seem to have dont the trick but whats the point of changeing the connection from phone as modem to sprint pcs dose this make it undectetable? or more stable? Last edited by seth528; 11-19-2009 at 02:24 PM. |

Re: teathering problems
All I usually do is connect my device to my PC with the usb cable. Then I click on Internet Sharing on my ppc and then click connect. After a few seconds your PC should show the connection on the taskbar. That's it. I was gonna ask how you do it but I thought I'd explain my way first. I am using vista but I doubt that would make any difference. Some people have had problems flashing roms with 64bit W7 systems but dunno if this is another issue. I'm just thinking that something on your ppc is set so it disconnects automatically after the connection is idle for 5 min or something. It shouldn't just close.
