The cab seems to help, still need more testing with it but it does seem promising. Thanks.

In regards to bluetooth tethering. I found setting up PAN (personal area network) to be a pain in the *ss with XP. Not so difficult in Ubuntu. I was pleasantly surprised that with Windows 7, it works right out of the box. Hot dang.
