Manila 2d Questions

So, I noticed a lot of people are running manila 2d today screens which look pretty sweet. I however have had a frustrating afternoon trying to find tutorials on how to actually get them on my phone.

I have NSFANs latest ROM. I tried disabling touch flo, installing a manilla 2d skin in cab form and turning touch flo back on, alas, nothing changed. So, I then found one in .m2dct format, I opened up the manila 2d customizer and tried to add the theme but got an error message.

I tried researching around but every thread seems to assume you know what you are doing and I am a total newb to manila 2d themes. I'd appreciate any help you guys can offer.
