WM6.5 problem (and a kitchen question)

hello all, its been awhile.

ive been busy with alot lately, so its been hard for me to get online.

i come to you with a question. I flashed 6.5 on my "dormant" xv6900, and i have an irritation with it...

1. whenever i exit a window, instead of going back to the previously opened window, it brings me straight to the home screen. this is nothing but a slight irritation, but, after installing it on my xv6800, i noticed that it did the same thing. is this normal then? just wondering if i was loosing my mind or not...

the next thing on my mind would be building a kitchen with 6.5. i downloaded the kitchen file from one of the sites here, but, its been so long since i tried to build a kitchen, let alone one that had files not yet available in the updater, that i couldnt get buildOS to register the rar... any ideas?

thanks

TZ

EDIT:

haha... after messing around alittle...and realizing how f' ing tired i am...cuse its 4:20-ish central time...i noticed that...the "honeycomb" menu is the start menu...not a folder...well...idk...that might solve that, but i still have that kitchen question..

Thanks

TZ

most of the .rars will go in the Kitchens folder - look in your kitchen folder and you'll see the SYS...common.rar and SYS...0409.rar files. that's what the 6.5 rars are as well. You'll also need to put some .txt files in the Projects folder. There's a readme file in the download; it'll tell you what goes where.

Re: WM6.5 problem (and a kitchen question)

not to thread jack but I recently put 6.5 on my Sprint/Alltel Touch is there anyway to get it to lock without password automatically I like the unlock interface but don't want to have to click start and lock everytime. ALso any lucj on the slight irritation of the return to home on exit from programs?

Re: WM6.5 problem (and a kitchen question)

hmm...well..the the best bet i can think of for the lock would be to map the lock to a hardware button. an option for that would be ae buttons plus. it gives you the option to map almost any program to almost any hardware key,(and some software keys, but i havent figured that out yet). i too have the htc touch with 6.5. as it doesnt bother me to have to hit that one extra button, ae buttons plus is what i would do. you can google it. probably the easiest way to find it.

as for the return to home screen, as i realized and posted on my first post, it has to do with the start menu being combined with the program/settings folders, and i dont think its something that can be changed.
