GPS COM 4 setting for Live Search

I now have GPS working on my 6900. GPS is available on COM 4. It was easy to point all my applications to COM 4 except Live Search. I always get the message cannot find GPS on COM 0. I cannot find a menu choice for COM port selection in Live Search. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

IN live search you click menu>settings>"the second option down should say GPS intermediate driver tap that then use the arrows to select com 4....If you are getting the error reading that you spoke of then you may wanna set it to GPS INTERMEDIATE DRIVER...becuase it may say com 0.

Found it immediately. For some reason I was seeing Settings as a banner and not a submenu!

1. did u buy separate equipment for gps ?? cuz i thought it wasnt available for xv6900 ..also does it need a dataplan ? thank u

Jaxx read around do a search, its more then available with most upgrades the only thing that you would have to buy is the program and even most of those are freeware these days...technically you do need a data plan, but there are others who argue very good points that say you do not need one. Any GPS program I have used always connected through the Internet...

thanks Hoover ... thats my problem ... i dont have a data plan ...and when i least expect it it dials internet explorer ... GRRRR .... my pay per KB is going to kick my butt this month ... I called vZ to prevent internet use ..but then i cant d/l any mms that i get once in a while .... know a way to get rid of that shopping cart and/or prevent phone from connecting to internet?... thanks
